    Effect of limescale on your machine

    Your dishwasher is a vital part of your kitchen, serving dirty plates to customers won’t be as forgivable as an overcooked Rump Steak. Limescale build up in your machine can be detrimental to your business hygiene rating, to provide sanitation dishwashers reach a temperature of 82.2°c, limescale can build up around the heating element decreasing the machine performance and capability of reaching high temperatures for cleaning.

  2. General Installation Instructions

    This installation guide is designed to be a simple guide for installation and first operation of your glasswasher. Each machine sold by Industrial Warewashers will be supplied with the manufacturers installation instructions which are specific to your commercial glass or dishwasher. We recommend that, if possible, you refer to the manufacturer specific manual before installing the product.

    Important: If you have purchased a WRAS approved product then it will have been supplied with a double check WRAS approved valve. To comply with WRAS approval conditions the enclosed double check valve MUST be fitted in-line with the incoming mains water supply and BEFORE the isolation valve.

    • Machine is empty
    • Wash tank(s) are clean
    • Filters/Strainers (and curtains if applicable) are in position
    • Wash arms and jets are fully located
    • Rinse arms are in position
    • Drain plug is located
    • Detergent & Rinse Aid containers are full and without an airlock

    Filling The Machine:

    • Check machine is ready for filling
    • Switch on at wall isolator
    • Close door(s)
    • Switch machine on (filling will commence)
    • Wait for machine to reach operating temperature

  5. Daily, Weekly & Monthly Dishwasher Maintenance Tasks

    Failing to maintain your machine will void any warranty on the machine.

    Daily

    1. Always empty machine at end of every day and wash out the filters.
    2. Only use compatible detergent, rinse aid, salt & descaler.
    3. Never turn machine on when water is not available.

    Weekly

    REPLENISH WATER SOFTENER

    To replenish the water softener, turn both taps clockwise and remove top and drain water to a suitable level. Put about a pint of salt in, then replace top (be careful to not over tighten). Turn bottom pipe connector back and let water run for approx 40 minutes into a nearby sink. Turn both taps anti-clockwise, your water softener is then replenished.

    Monthly

    DESCALE REFURBISH MACHINE & GLASSES

    Let machine fill & heat up, put approx 10oz of descaler in

  6. Water Softener Regeneration

    A manual 8 or 12 litre water softener can be fitted to any Glasswasher or Commercial Dishwasher machine, and is an extremely important piece of equipment, when in hard water areas, that will ensure good washing results, can lower detergents usage and most importantly reduce the build up of lime scale to avoid expensive breakdowns and guarantees of suppliers' warranties.

    Dosage

    For light use, regeneration once a month will be sufficient – more intensive use can require two regenerations per month. If washer starts to scale up (turns white internally) then you will need to up the frequency to a more regular interval.
